As the saying goes, ‘your health is your wealth’, so it’s essential to take care of your body if you wish to lead a prosperous midlife.

Middle age is a time when many of us start to slow down.

 
Sure, you might have a few more wrinkles, and your body might not recover as well from exercise or injury.

 
But this isn’t an excuse to give it up altogether. In fact, it’s the very reason you should keep going.

When we stop using our bodies to their full potential, that’s when things start to get ‘rusty’ and weak.

That’s not to say you should start training for a midlife triathlon! But it is important to be more mindful with your exercise, and perhaps choose activities or sports that aren’t as hard-hitting on your muscles or joints.

When we go through menopause, we become susceptible to osteoporosis, so strength and resistance-based exercises that increase bone density and encourage muscle growth are key.
